IN TRUE magpie style, Collingwood Football Club star Andrew Williams flew into Berwick Lodge Primary School last Thursday as part of his club’s Active Factor program.
The joint venture between Collingwood and CocaCola aims to promote fitness and selfesteem in children across 50 Victorian schools.
As a part of the program, 40 year four students were invited to the initial clinic with Williams, with five students selected to complete a month’s fitness program. After the fitness program is completed, students will again be assessed by the Collingwood star.
School principal Henry Grossek said the program aimed to help students benefit by undertaking a fitness and wellbeing program developed and conducted by an elite footballer. The Active Factor Program will culminate in a grand finale at the Round 20 Collingwood v Carlton AFL match.
