ENDEAVOUR Hills has been trounced by nine wickets in its round 12 loss to Broadmeadows at Sydney Pargeter Reserve.
The loss compounds a forgettable season for the Hills that has seen them win only one of its 12 matches.
Winning the toss and batting first in Saturday’s 45-over game, the Hills could only manage an even 100 as it was outclassed by finals-bound Broadmeadows.
Matt Aslett (18) top scored for the Hills and had it not been for a brief 24-run partnership between tailenders Andrew Reed (11) and Chris Pereira (10*) the score would have been much worse for the Hills.
The highly fancied Broadmeadows had no troubles chasing down the humble target, losing one wicket as it raced to 1/101 in 13 overs.
Aslett was the most productive and economical of the Hills’ bowlers, claiming 1/16 from his three overs.
