A LUCKY Narre Warren mother of three will be able to shop ’til she drops after starting the New Year $20,000 richer.
Michelle Reid recently received a call to say she was Victoria’s winner of a Target pre-Christmas in-store competition, earning her $20,000.
Customers who spent $75 or more in Target during December were eligible to enter. Over 79,000 entries were received with many shoppers entering more than once.
Ms Reid said did not enter competitions regularly, and happened to enter this particular one four times the day before it closed. She said she considers herself lucky to be one of nine winners across Australia.
“When we found out we were winners, it was a mixture of shock and joy,” she said.
“Our whole family are regular shoppers at Target, visiting weekly.”
Fountain Gate’s Target manager Andre Riggs presented Ms Reid with her cheque last week. He said he has never known the local to have given away so much money to a competition winner.
Ms Reid said she had planned a trip to Fiji with her partner and three kids, and has splurged a little on birthday presents.
“One of my sons had a birthday recently and another one is coming up, so they are a little more spoilt this year than others,” she said.
Now, her friends hope they get just as lucky.
“They are entering anything and everything,” she laughed.
