SCHOOL’S back and so is the Casey Table Tennis Club.
The ever-growing club is inviting players of all ages and experience levels to participate in a grading night next Tuesday (15 February) ahead of a new season of action at Narre Warren South’s Hillsmeade Primary School.
Club coach Michael Belot was delighted with the response from local players last year, when an influx of youngsters prompting an extra grade of competition, with A, B and C grades likely to run again this year.
Belot has also introduced a short-and-sharp coaching clinic for primary school-aged kids, which will run prior to the start of competitive play on Tuesday nights.
He’s encouraging anyone interested in testing their skills to pop down next Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm.
“A lot of players who’ve played previous seasons come down and have a hit on that night, so it’s quite good for the new guys to have a game and find out their appropriate grade,” he said.
