LEADING harness racing trainer Glenn Douglas capped off a festive Christmas when he produced a stable treble at last week’s Cranbourne meeting.
The popular mentor combined with brother Daryl to take out the feature race on the program, the Eastern Zone Claiming Pace, with Our Sand Fly who has built an impressive record of five wins from eight starts to date this season.
The pair followed up their success with a win to former New Zealander Fire It Up in the evening’s fast class race, while leading junior driver Matt Cormick rounded off Glenn’s winning night with victory aboard Three’s A Cloud in race seven.
The Douglas boys are regular visitors to Cranbourne and will be in action at the club’s popular Kids Night Out race meeting this Saturday night.
There will be loads of free kids’ rides and activities for the young at heart and families are encouraged to take advantage of the spacious lawn areas at the course to enjoy a picnic under the stars. Racing kicks off at 6.30pm, gates open at 5.30pm.
