CAROLS by Twilight will have residents singing and dancing along to new hits and old classics at its 35th annual event this month.
On Christmas Eve every year, more than 7000 people gathered at Max Pawsey Reserve every year to celebrate Christmas.
The event will be hosted by Casey City Church, MC’d by Luke Holt from Light FM 89.9 and will feature a range of performances from up and coming bands and other well-known artists.
Karen Alsop from the Casey City Church said up and coming artists will feature on-stage from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, and the main event will start at 8pm.
“The main event will be traditional carols,” she said.
“Some of the artists include (X Factor contestant) Madison Pritchett, Opera singer Shu Cheen Yu, Ollie and Chris Sebastian, Daniel Kelaart and Coby DeMaria who was a finalist in the Light FM musical challenge. Casey City Church band will be providing back ups for the artists.”
Light FM will be doing live crosses from the event and 3SER will be live broadcasting the main event.
Eveready will be providing battery powered candles to purchase on arrival to add twinkle to the celebrations.
Mrs Alsop encouraged Casey residents to attend.
“Bring down your picnic rug, food, candles will be available and Santa will arrive on a truck,” she said.
“It’s a great family event.”
Carols by Twilight is sponsored by the City of Casey, Parable Christian Store and Central Star Mercedes-Benz in Berwick.
