Bands slam

YOUNG people in Casey can Get Loud with local residents in a special event next week.
On Friday 3 December, City of Casey’s FReeZA Youth Advisory committee Spectrum Entertainment will hold the annual Live n Loud cultural and music gig.
This year’s line up for the Line n Loud festival will include headline act At War with Gods, a Melbourne’s hardcore heavy metal band that has just returned from a successful nationwide tour.
Other acts include Hallower, The Ascension, The Approach, Battle of the Bands 2010 winner While the City Sleeps and Ocean Grove.
City of Casey acting mayor Shar Balmes said the City of Casey is committed to supporting entertainment for young people and congratulated Spectrum Entertainment for their ongoing commitment to the young people of Casey.
“Young people can and do make significant contributions and the Live n Loud festival is another chance for young people to showcase their talents and contribute to the music and cultural diversity of our community,” she said.
City of Casey’s Youth and Family Services manager Colette McMahon said she was excited by the prospects of another gig for local young people.
“Spectrum Entertainment organises fantastic events for Casey’s young people and the 2010 Live n Loud is not to be missed,” she said.
The 2010 City of Casey/ Spectrum Entertainment Live n Loud event is a fully supervised, drug alcohol and smoke free, all ages event.
It will be held at the Cranbourne Public Hall, South Gippsland Highway on 3 December from 6pm until 11pm.
Entry at the door is $8 with a pass and $10 without. Passes are available from the City of Casey Customer Service Centres or Youth Information Centres in Cranbourne or Hampton Park.
