Special school consensus

A NEW special school in Casey-Cardinia has received support from the Coalition and Labor parties.
The Coalition has pledged $10 million on a three to four hectare site in Officer and Labor proposed a two-hectare site, with the location to be determined after consultations with the community.
“As part of the planning for the new school, we will work with the community to determine the best location to build it,” Ms Pike said.
Support 4 Special School in Casey-Cardinia campaigner Cathy Smith said the two offers were very different.
The Coalition committed to building the school within the first term of government, if elected.
The Liberal party’s commitment had the support of Liberal candidate for Gembrook Brad Battin and Eastern Victoria MP Edward O’Donohue.
