Winning on the airways

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

PAUL Tero is getting down to business.
Every Tuesday the Berwick businessman hosts a new weekly show on Casey Radio, broadcasting interviews and tips for the business-minded residents throughout the municipality.
The Casey Radio Win Win Business Show was started this month after Mr Tero saw a need in the community for a local radio show that focussed on business advice and strategies.
“I was looking for how I could do a thing like this and it was just a happy confluence of events, it’s basically my brainchild,” Mr Tero said.
“It’s a win-win.”
The one-hour show includes two interviews with key business stakeholders, an interview with a not-for-profit charity representative and a sporting club representative.
“We have the two major interviews, usually with key stakeholders of businesses and what we ask them is to tell us about their expertise,” Mr Tero said.
“We can talk about the business and what they do and the expertise they have.
“Then I ask the question, you’ve had some business failures, there have been low points, and how have you overcome those low points?
“And then there’s the successes, how did you get there?”
Mr Tero’s show also includes some council news and some solo time with the host.
“There’s always a need to network, always need to find out what other people are doing and how you can do it better,” Mr Tero said.
“And particularly in today’s business world, you can’t be stagnant, you can’t be standing upright, you have to be leaning forward.”
Tune into Casey Radio on 3SER FM, every Tuesday at 8am to listen to the Win Win Business Show.
