Third go at the flag

FFV METROPOLITAN LEAGUES REVIEW
THERE are three matches left and Pakenham United is on the precipice of its third Football Federation Victoria (FFV) flag after the Cougars smashed Monash University SC 6-2.
A win this weekend – when the Cougars travel to Elwood City SC on Sunday morning from 11am – would keep the chasing pack Monash Uni (Caulfield) and Old Scotch Cardinals at bay and, depending on results, could grant Pakenham United the league victory with a couple of rounds remaining.
Pakenham United’s seconds had a bye and face Beaumaris at home from 1pm.
Wiping Keysborough off the face of the earth, Bunyip Strikers strolled out of Greater Dandenong with a 8-3 pumping to push the Strikers to third on the Metro 6 South East ladder while Bunyip’s seconds benefitted from Yarra Jets forfeiting.
Bunyip Strikers host Knox United from 1pm on Sunday.
