THE City of Casey plant giveaway is for Casey ratepayers, who can receive two free indigenous plants for your backyard. The council-funded event is to help the community contribute to the council’s growing a green web program, which aims to form a green network across the City of Casey.

Cooking with dad
LEARN how to cook healthy meals with dad, spend some quality time together and strengthen your relationship, as you meet other families and learn life skills as a team. The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and children to experience cooking together.

Mental health
GROW is offering a unique 12-step recovery focused program to those suffering from stress, anxiety, depression and other emotional difficulties. Gold coin donation appreciated.

Hand sewing workshop
LEARN how to sew with Leesa Chandler. Join acclaimed textile artist Leesa Chandler and her team on a weeklong series of workshops, exploring the art of hand sewing and stitching techniques.
There will be a pop-up design studio, sewing studio and shop with workshops run by Leesa. Suitable for people with some experience in sewing.

Indoor Bowls

Park run
PARTICIPATE with more than 100 others in a free 5km timed event every Saturday morning. The event caters for serious runners, and for those wanting a jog or even a walk.

THE official opening of Fusion: the art of connection will host local art professionals who will present in ’Pecha Kucha’ style. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

Blokes talk workshop
WHAT is ‘a real man’ anyway? What have I got to lose by asking for directions or support? In this interactive presentation, man myths and stereotypes are discussed as well as identity, masculinity, health and well-being, parenting and fatherhood.

Learn how to play mahjong
ONCE enough people are interested, mahjong classes will be held. Mahjong is a Chinese game played by four people with 136 or 144 rectangular pieces called tiles.

Casey Cavaliers market
THIRTY boys and girls are currently fund-raising to go to America to play college basketball for three weeks. Aged between 14 and 18, the young ballers and the Casey Cavaliers will hold a market to help fund-raise their trip. The day will hold a large variety of food, clothing, children’s toys, baby goods, skin care and linen stalls as well as bric-a-brac and trash and treasure. -Cranbourne Public Hall on Saturday 23 May, 10am to 3pm.
Star search
ONE hundred per cent volunteer run all the proceeds from the star search go to the Cancer Council’s Relay for Life.
