Grants galore for stars

SEVERAL sporting stars have benefited from the latest round of Cardinia Shire Council grants.
Pakenham Consolidated School received $1000 to cover expenses for two pupils from its Aerobics team competing in the National Championships in Brisbane.
A grant of $300 was also awarded to Bunyip hockey player Kate Rinehart to assist in representing the state at the State Hockey Championshps in Brisbane next month.
Yakkerboo Festival Art Show was given $1000 by Cardinia Shire Council for the hire of the Pakenham Hall.
The Kooweeup Scout Group received $250 for running a Leukaemia Foundation “Light the Night” fund-raising event at Cochrane Park on 18 September.
A big grant of $1448 will also go towards the free Cardinia Community Christmas lunch.
