When seniors’ toes are twinkling

By Emma Sun
FAMILY and friends of residents at Pakenham Aged Care had a ball at the dance held last Thursday.
The residents took the opportunity to dress up and get their hair and make-up done to look their best for the occasion.
More than 120 people filled Pakenham Hall and danced the day away.
Donations of $500 were made from Bendigo Bank towards the dance and Cardinia Shire as part of Seniors Week.
Tracey Van Roy, activities manager at Pakenham Aged Care said the event was a huge success and would be a permanent addition to their annual calendar.
“We’re planning on making it an annual event now, we’re building a new hall and eventually we will have it in our own hall,” Ms Van Roy said.
“We’d like to thank the businesses who donated goods for the silent auction and the raffle. Without help from the community, it wouldn’t have been possible.”
