THE City of Casey is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting showcase of talent, with people of all ages and talents invited to take part.
Auditions for Casey’s Got Talent will be held on 6 and 9 October, with all aspiring singers, dancers, comedians, and magicians encouraged to try out for a place in the finals.
City of Casey mayor Shar Balmes said that the competition will provide a great opportunity for the community to showcase its upcoming stars.
“Casey’s Got Talent will bring together top performers from the local community to showcase their talents,” Cr Balmes said.
The competition, he said, gives artists the “opportunity to perform in front of a large and supportive audience.”
“I invite and encourage entertainers of all types, talents and ages to audition.”
Auditions are open to people of all ages living, working or studying in the municipality.
Individuals or groups can audition in the primary school age, secondary school age, open entries, or ’70s themed category, with an entry fee of $10 per act. For those interested in watching the auditions, entry is a gold coin donation.
Finalists will compete on 5 November at the Rivergum Performing Arts Centre, with tickets at the door at $10 per person.
