He’s Berry good

By Mark Gullick
JUSTIN Berry’s brilliant year with Cranbourne has earnt him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for 2011 – which he also won last season.
Berry took out the award at Monday night’s MPNFL vote count. He also finished third in the best and fairest behind Tooradin’s Beau Miller and team-mate Daniel Mislicki.
“To be voted MVP for a second year in a row is a big honour,” Berry said. “I tried to have a consistent year and make sure that I looked after the body, as I’m getting older.”
Berry starred in the MPNFL interleague victory and represented the VCFL, but is looking for success with the Eagles.
“We had a big win over Berwick on the weekend and we’re in the grand final, which we’re looking forward to,” he said.
“We are confident, but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. We just take each game as it comes.”
