A DISCUSSION group popular with older men in Casey will extend into Cardinia Shire this month.
On 20 June, the Council of the Aging (COTA Victoria) in partnership with Cardinia Shire are inviting men over the age of 50 to take part in the OM:NI Men’s Discussion Group in Beaconsfield.
There are currently 18 of these groups in Melbourne’s south-east, four in the Berwick and Cranbourne area.
The group is developed and run by peer educators from COTA and provides men with the opportunity to socialise and discuss important issues with other men their age from the municipality.
COTA Victoria is a not-for-profit incorporated association, which works with and for older people to empower them to achieve universal well-being and social justice.
The first meeting will take place from 9am until noon on 20 June at the Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre at 8 O’Neil Road, Beaconsfield. Bookings are essential. Call John on 0425 787 545, Brain on 0408 545 984 or Meaghan at the Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre on 8768 4400.
For more information or to register your place contact the Council on the Ageing on 9654 4443.
