Young aces in tennis finals

HAMPTON Park had seven junior teams and one senior side playing in grand finals in the Waverley District Tennis Association Grand Finals over the weekend.

Two junior teams won a premiership, with the remaining six being runners-up.
The B Grade 2 Boys – Sam Hae Hae, Stephan Mikhail and Dillon Van Heer – defeated Dandenong, while the other home match of Unisex D Grade 1 was a battle between the two youngest Hampton Park teams.
Again, it was an extremely close match with the White team of Adthe Ferati, Trent Wilson, Rebecca Henderson, Lennox Popplestone and Cameron Uncle defeating the Red team comprising Bronte Santos, Arris Illarde, Blake Ellis, Brianna Uncle and Delanie Lemalu, four sets to two and 31 games to 27.
