AS WE reach warmer weather, the City of Casey is reminding residents to ensure the safety and care of their pets during the hot summer months.
City of Casey manager Community Safety Caroline Bell said caring for pets in summer is just as important as caring for ourselves. The most important thing to remember is to never leave a dog in a parked car on a warm or hot day, Ms Bell said.
Pet owners may be prosecuted if an animal is suffering or distressed as a result of their action or inaction. For more information contact the RSPCA on 9224 2222.
