A LARGE quantity of cannabis was seized in raids on two Narre Warren properties on Monday afternoon.
Casey Police executed search warrants on two neighbouring houses in Darling Way.
Acting Senior Sergeant Rodney Maroney said a total of 147 cannabis plants were found being grown hydroponically inside the two houses.
Three men were arrested in relation to the drug haul. A 50-year-old Narre Warren man was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and drug trafficking offences.
He was remanded in custody overnight and appeared in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court for a bail hearing on Tuesday, where he was released on bail and ordered to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a committal hearing on 1 May.
A 37-year-old man was also charged with the same offences and was bailed to appear in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in April.
A 20-year-old Frankston man was charged with possessing cannabis and possessing proceeds of crime. He will face Dandenong Magistrates’ Court for a committal hearing early next week.
