Second break-in at hi-fi store

A NARRE Warren hi-fi store was targeted for the second time in two months when cash and two televisions were stolen during a night raid.
Police said thieves forced open a rear door at the Stothers Music and Hi-Fi store, located at the Casey Lifestyle Centre on Princes Highway, between 5.30pm last Saturday and 2.45am next day.
They then removed the $300 cash floats from two tills before taking a 94-centimetre LCD television and a plasma TV.
An alarm was activated during the break-in and security staff and police attended, too late to stop the burglars.
In February, as previously reported in the News, electrical equipment valued at nearly $20,000 was stolen during an early-morning raid. During this incident a window at the front of the store was smashed.
Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Senior Constable Brian Whitehead of Narre Warren CIU on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
