Meeting on high-rise plan

A PUBLIC meeting will be held next week amid growing concerns over a proposed six-storey development in Lyall Road, Berwick.
Harmon Group has filed a planning application with Casey Council for a hotel, supermarket and office development on the site. The application has come across fierce opposition from some residents, who fear the multi-storey development will be out of character with the rest of Berwick Village, increase traffic congestion on Lyall Road and cause noise and pollution problems.
The meeting, organised by the Berwick Village Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the Berwick RSL on Friday 5 June at 6pm.
