A NARRE Warren South sports club has kicked another goal after being given new goal post pads.
Casey councillor Lorraine Wreford has given the Narre South Lions Junior Football Club $2200 from her ward funds to buy the set of goal pads.
The club that calls Strathaird Reserve home, and boasts more than 200 junior players, was very pleased with the donation.
President John Rich said the donation was very much appreciated and meant the club could spend fundraising money on other items.
The club’s pavilion is also undergoing extension works, which will include two new change rooms and an extra storeroom.
The club is also in the process of purchasing training lights after receiving a $21,000 minor capital works grant in the recent Casey Council budget.
“Everything is going really well at the club and we really appreciate the donation for the goal post pads,” Mr Rich said.
