Improved access pledged

CASEY residents with a disability will benefit from a recent Labor funding announcement.
Labor announced a $493.5 million commitment to A Fairer Victoria for unprecedented support and access to new facilities.
Cranbourne MP Jude Perera said if re-elected, the Labor Government would build on its strong investment in respect and inclusion, by taking action to ensure people with a disability could live actively and independently.
“We launched A Fairer Victoria in 2005 to help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged Victorians,” Mr Perera said.
“As part of Labor’s commitment to A Fairer Victoria, $60.3 million will be invested in support for people living with a disability, which includes a tailor-made shared house to be built in Casey.
“The tailor-made house will have 24-hour support to provide more people with a disability with the opportunity to participate as much as they can in the life of their local communities.”
