A WOMAN was arrested by police on Tuesday after her Berwick house caught fire.
Police said the blaze started at about 7.15am at the Coolong Avenue property.
Two children, aged 12 and 15, were in the house when the fire started, police said.
Cranbourne Criminal Investigation Unit Detectives arrested the 46-year-old woman shortly after the fire was extinguished.
She has been charged with one count of criminal damage by fire.
The woman was due to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday).
