RAIDERS armed with bricks and rocks smashed into a number of Officer homes not long before a woman discovered two men inside her property while she was upstairs showering.
The woman discovered the men were in the garage of her Lexington Crescent home at 10.50pm on Wednesday 14 September and she saw them flee over her back fence when they were disturbed.
Police received four home invasion reports in the immediate area that day and are investigating two aggravated burglaries which occurred later in the week in Pakenham.
On one occasion, the offenders used a brick to break-in to a home, and a rock was used to shatter the glass securing another home.
The victims of a Turnbridge Road, Officer, home left for the shops at 1.20pm, returning home just 20 minutes later to find a brick has been thrown at a glass door.
Police believe offenders reached through the shattered glass to unlock the door and take items including an iPad and jewellery before fleeing.
A brick was also reportedly used to break into a home the next street over while the occupier was away during business hours.
The targeted home was located at Avebury Place, Officer, which intersects with Turnbridge Road.
Police are investigating the property damage caused to the home, but have at this stage not identified any reports of theft.
A Verdant Avenue, Officer, home was also targeted during the same time window, instead offenders got in via an unlocked door, police said.
Bedrooms were ransacked, jewellery taken.
Police are also investigating two home raids in Pakenham where residents were home at the time.
On one occasion, a car was stolen from the property as the residents slept.
It’s still outstanding.
Police said the Ford Territory was stolen after offenders got inside a Wonboyn Close, Pakenham, home between 10pm on Friday 16 September and 8am on Saturday 17 September.
Police allege the car thieves got inside the house via an unlocked door before pinching the keys and making off with the car as the residents slept.
At 10.20am on Friday 16 September, a Sarton Link, Pakenham, resident was home when offenders entered their two-storey home.
Police believe the offenders were disturbed by the resident who was upstairs at the time, fleeing before any possible confrontation.
The victim reported their TV had been moved during the invasion.
