POLICE are warning local residents to keep vigilant with the fire season looming.
It comes after reports of three suspicious fires in Casey within three days this month.
The first was lit at the Narre Warren quarry on Wednesday 18 November.
It’s believed the fire was started from two different points of origin at the landfill station, and police are still investigating.
The second fire was also in Narre Warren, two days later on Friday 20 November. It was started on a walking track next to a construction site on Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road.
It’s believed a boy was seen riding a bike at the time of the incident.
The third blaze was a car fire at the corner of Venables Court and Ashfield Drive in Berwick.
Police and CFA members attended the fire, involving a car parked on the nature strip set alight.
The fire is being treated as suspicious after a fuel can was found inside the car.
