AN EXCITED Endeavour Hills newsagency is riding a wave of good fortune after selling its fourth Division One winning Lotto ticket within two years.
A Melbourne grandmother has netted herself more than $820,000 just in time for Christmas after becoming one of five entrants who won an equal share in TattsLotto’s estimate $4 million Division One prize pool last month.
The woman, who didn’t want to be named, said the money would be a welcome arrival in what has been a hard year for the recently widowed grandmother.
“It’s been very difficult; there’s been a lot of heartache.
“I was thinking I’d have to find work in the next year so I’d be able to pay the bills,” she said.
“This would have been the first Christmas the grandkids only got very small presents.
“The house is in a state of disrepair so I’ll be able to sell it and buy a small unit which will be easier to manage myself.”
The grandmother also said the Lotto win might be a sign that her late husband was watching over her.
The woman’s winning ticket was purchased from Endeavour Lotto last month, which is starting to get a reputation as one of the luckiest stores in Casey.
The hot streak for Endeavour Lotto started when it sold a winning TattsLotto ticket for $423,705.20 in January last year, followed by a $1,052,631.58 prize in August 2012, then a $1 million win in May this year.
In addition to the entry from Endeavour Lotto, other winning tickets were purchased from Seymour and three others in Queensland.
